Chartering the Catmandoo off Hilton Head Island allows you many options when booking a fishing trip.  These trips can take you as far as 100 miles off shore or back in the creeks in a foot of water after Red fish and Trout. Most summer trips (May-August) are 4 to 5 hours which allows plenty of time for families/friends looking for a good time on the water and a good bite! These trips are typically spent fishing in Port Royal Sound, 3-5 miles off shore, depending on the bite. During a 4-5 hour trip we could be trolling for Spanish Mackerel and Blue Fish, live baiting for King Mackerel, chumming for Cobia or Tarpon and bottom fishing for a variety of things from Stingrays to bull Red fish.

We also enjoy going after the bigger sharks like Black tips, Lemons, Bulls, Tigers and Nurse sharks. For others that are looking for a more specific challenge, a longer trip of 6-8 hours may be needed. A 6-8 hour trip is usually spent 10-20 miles off shore, bump trolling and live baiting for King Mackerel, chumming and site fishing for Cobia, and bottom fishing for Snapper and Grouper. We also have fun with other species like Spade fish, Sea Bass, Stingrays, big Tigers and Bulls, and the toothy Barracuda!

For kids that are not quite ready for a full day on the water we offer a very popular 3 hour Shark Trip. These trips are wonderful for kids of any size! We don’t go out too far and we schedule these trips in the afternoon when it is a little cooler, more convenient, and not to mention a beautiful sunset to experience.
